County Commission candidate begins 100-day jail sentence
Historic City News was informed at about 7:00 p.m. this evening when 59-year-old Merrill Paul Roland, a candidate in the 2014 General Election for a seat on the St Johns County Commission, turned himself in to the St Johns County Jail to begin serving his 100-day sentence.

Deadly Christmas Eve crash on I-95
Florida Highway Patrol Sergeant Dylan Bryan updated Historic City News this evening on the fatal Interstate crash that occurred this morning; leaving northbound Christmas Eve traffic, headed into St Johns County, detoured onto US-1 and backlogged for miles.

16th century vessels on return visit to St Augustine
