Man killed in St Augustine hit-and-run incident
St Augustine Police detective Chris Miller needs Historic City News readers to come forward with any information they may have that will lead to the identification of the driver, or location of the vehicle, that ran over 49-year-old Christian Gerard Schroom in the wee hours Sunday morning.



Historic City News in St Augustine has learned that a passenger returning a golf cart in Ponte Vedra Beach suffered life-threatening injuries last night, when she was thrown from the cart in the area of Pablo Road, just west of Ponte Vedra Boulevard.
As is customary to honor the memory of former mayors and commissioners as well as recipients of the two highest honors offered by the City of St Augustine, Historic City News reports that the flags at City Hall were lowered to half-staff yesterday in tribute to Jerry Kass.

A St Johns County woman walking her dog on Vintage Oak Circle was approached by two men who demanded money from her at about 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, according to reports filed with Historic City News in St Augustine.
