Regular Meeting Schedule
The St. Johns County Board of County Commission Meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays each month commencing at 9:00 am in the St. Johns County Auditorium located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL. The Board reserves the right to cancel and or change the meeting schedule as needed. Most Public Hearings for the County Commission will be advertised for 9:00 a.m. It will be left to the discretion of the BCC Chair as to the most appropriate time to break for the noon recess. After a nine-year run as editor, The Record announced in their newspaper yesterday that 67-year-old Peter Ellis will not return to the editor’s desk; as publisher Delinda Fogle had previously indicated.
At about 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, November 21st, St Augustine police officer, Jessica Pedonti, was on patrol in the area of 213 Anastasia Boulevard; when she encountered a homeless woman walking along the sidewalk in front of The British Pub.
Historic City News was informed today that the “Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks” campaign will be conducted in St Johns County now through December 5. It is intended to raise awareness about the dangers of being too aggressive on roadways — especially when a large truck is involved.
Just before 11:00 p.m. last night, Historic City News learned that St Augustine police patrolman, Christopher Raley, was dispatched to St George Street to locate a man who a passerby said he witnessed robbing a teenager on the street.
