Sexual offender arrested in possession of child pornography
Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw informed Historic City News reporters that a 39-year-old registered sexual offender, who was raised in St Augustine and then moved to Michigan as an adult, is in custody in St Johns County tonight; charged with 100-counts of possession of child pornography — he was convicted of the same crime in 2005.
Flagler County establishes Crime Scene Unit
In Flagler County, Historic City News reporters learned that, in past years, investigators were largely dependent on the collection of latent fingerprint evidence at major crime scenes to identify persons involved in committing those crimes.
Storm reveals hidden shipwreck
Exciting details came in to Historic City News Wednesday morning, when turtle patrollers stumbled across the wooden ribs and keel of an ancient shipwreck; buried in the dunes just south of Ponte Vedra Beach.
