Guard furlough days reduced

Adjutant General of Florida, Maj. Gen. Emmett Titshaw Jr., had good news as he addressed civilians and technician personnel of the Florida National Guard recently to announce further reductions in the number of required non-paid furlough days.

The country music band Alabama, who first performed 40-years ago in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, entertained a sold-out crowd last night at the St Augustine Amphitheatre; and Historic City News contributing photographer, Mark Cubbedge, was there.
The Florida Highway Patrol in St Johns County is asking Historic City News readers to come forward if they witnessed the Thursday evening crash at about 9:15 p.m. just south of Marlin Avenue on SR-A1A that left one Ponte Vedra Beach bicyclist dead.
