Historic City News was notified by City Manager John Regan this morning that yesterday, the City put Comcast “on notice” regarding the continued disruption of broadcast of local government meetings as required by their franchise agreement and state law.
Historic City News has learned that a permit for a 7-Eleven store and gas pumps at May Street and San Marco Avenue has been denied, with a two-week appeal period ending next Monday, according to a report that appeared in today’s St Augustine Report.
An application, tabled in November, for a certificate of demolition of a one-time prominent home in the Model Land Company National Register Historic District, was denied by the Historic Architectural Review Board during their regular meeting January 16th.

The daily tours and wine tastings at the San Sebastian Winery are free to everyone. Also, admission is free to everyone at the Fort Matanzas National Monument, St Photios Chapel, the Pena-Peck House, the Father Miguel O’Reilly Museum and the Mission Nombre de Dios Museum. Many other local attractions offer discounted admissions to St Johns County residents with valid identification.
