City celebrates birthday with 1565 re-enactment
A re-enactment of the 1565 landing of St. Augustine’s founder, Don Pedro Menendez, a Thanksgiving Feast and a living history timeline will be among the highlights of the City of St. Augustine’s 443rd Birthday Celebration according to an announcement received by Historic City News from Jay Humphreys; Communications Director of the Visitors and Convention Bureau.






The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to cease action on the proposed Fire Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU).

On July 1, 2008, Starbucks will close approximately 600 company-operated stores in the U.S. beginning this month and continuing through the first half of fiscal year 2009. According to a listing received by Historic City News from Starbucks yesterday, only the CR 210 store at Nature Walk is including in the first round of cuts.
