Historic City News observed that only City Commissioner Todd Neville had objection to a new ordinance that will require those who are awarded a demolition permit to wait for the 30-day appeal window to expire before actually performing the demolition. The vote creating the new requirement was approved Monday night in a 4-1 split vote.

On the job since June 1, 2009, Darlene Galambos, currently the Recording Secretary for the City of St Augustine, will receive a promotion to fill the position of City Clerk; currently held by Alison Ratkovic.

St Johns County Commissioner Bill McClure informed local Historic City News reporters that he is headed to Tallahassee to address members of the House and Senate committee on congressional redistricting.
