Discover the Birds of Anastasia
Brittany Sims has invited Historic City News readers of all ages to come meet the birds and participate in a free monthly bird walk this Sunday, October 13, from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Anastasia State Park located at 300 Anastasia Park Road in St Augustine.

Dalonja Duncan, President of the Anniversary to Commemorate the Civil Rights Demonstrations, Inc. (ACCORD), and Elizabeth Duncan, Chairwoman of the Civil Rights Museum of St. Augustine, Inc., have jointly announced to Historic City News that the two organizations will combine efforts to bring a local Civil Rights Museum to fruition.
The Black Crowes performed live last night in the St Augustine Amphitheatre as part of their “Lay Down with Number 13” tour. Historic City News special events photographer, Mark Cubbedge, was there to share the excitement with our readers.
Chairman Lance Thate reported to Historic City News that Janet Smith will be the guest speaker for next week’s regular meeting of the Saint Augustine Tea Party where the topic for the evening will be the proposed “Second Amendment Preservation Act”.
