Ancient City Heart Beat program can save a life
St Johns County Fire Rescue’s program, Ancient City Heart Beat, strives to encourage the placement, training and use of Automated External Defibrillators through the county as a measure to provide faster assistance to a person in cardiac arrest.

In 1968, when the sand dunes of Vilano Beach still outnumbered the houses, Frank Usina, his brother Jack, and his brother-in-law Bob Richmond, broke ground at 2750 Anahma Drive to build a simple, square-box, one-story wood-frame building whose greatest assets were cold beer, boiled local shrimp, Minorcan clam chowder, and a million-dollar view from an outdoor wooden deck that was as large as the building itself.
St Johns County Visitor and Convention Bureau reported to Historic City News that the final Florida port stop for the Viva Florida 500 Voyage of El Galeón is being extended. Originally scheduled for departure on Monday, June 3, due to the large volume of visitors, that stay was extended through June 23, and now, is being extended until Monday, July 8th.
