Historic City News readers are being asked to help the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office to locate a 75 year-old man who may be disoriented and is possibly suffering from dementia.
With her hair pulled back in sweaty pigtails, glasses smudged from digging through archaeological units, and hands muddied from sifting through piles of shells, construction debris and pottery remains, ten-year-old Ana Shaw concluded, “This is the coolest camp I’ve ever been to.”

Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, informed Historic City News local reporters that emergency personnel responded to two residential structure fires last night.
Cathy DuPont reported to Historic City News that on Wednesday, August 4th, power will be transferred to the new cabinet operating the traffic signals at the intersections of King Street and Cathedral Place.
The Mayor and City Commissioners attended a small gathering of people including several City department heads, City Manager John Regan and former City Manager Bill Harriss to mark the Fiesta de Aviles and the ceremonial start to a much needed facelift for one of the oldest documented streets in St. Augustine.
