Flagler College residence hall and parking garage underway
Historic City News reporters were on hand Wednesday when Flagler College broke ground on its $23 million downtown St. Augustine project that includes a 52,800-square-foot residence hall and 551-space parking garage on the corner of King and Malaga Streets.





Historic City News readers who live in the Vilano Beach Town Center neighborhood may review the material submitted by developer Farid Ashdji for the proposed construction of a new 65-room hotel with retail space and parking on the site of the former Town and Country motel on Vilano Road at Loja Street.
Historic City News was advised that the Florida Supreme Court in recent court orders disciplined 24 attorneys – disbarring four, revoking the licenses of four, suspending nine and publicly reprimanding seven. Five attorneys were also placed on probation.
Frontier Airlines begins new non-stop service to two destinations today in St. Augustine. The carrier will begin non-stop flights to Chicago-O’Hare and Philadelphia. Flights to Chicago operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays while flights to Philadelphia operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Reaction to plans from the new owners of the Ponte Vedra Golf and Country Club, indicating interest in redeveloping part of the golf course for a multifamily development project, has some Historic City News readers concerned.
