No time for complacency as City Monitors Progress of Hurricane Hanna
According to reports received by Historic City News, St. Augustine Fire Chief Mike Arnold called a meeting of the heads of all city departments early this afternoon for an initial briefing regarding Tropical Storm Hanna.

Keith Goldstein, President of the St. Augustine Shores Emergency Response Team, asked Historic City News today if we would help them to reach out to the community for help and support under very trying times.
Sacha Martin reported to Historic City News that the Vilano Beach Town Center Streetscape is being awarded OUTSTANDING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT at this year’s Annual Florida Main Street Conference in Venice, Florida.

All offices of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners and all St. Johns County Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2008, in observance of Labor Day.
