More than 5-years-ago, struggling with budget cuts and growing costs associated with maintaining local DMV offices, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles decided to close all or most of its existing locations.

City offices closed at 1:00 p.m. today “to facilitate the influx of those attending Celebrate 450! Events”, according to an announcement received by Historic City News this morning.  St Augustine City Hall will also be closed Monday, September 7th, in observance of the Labor Day Holiday.
