By no particular criteria and in no particular order, the Historic City News Editorial Board selected three news articles from each of the past twelve months to give our readers a reminder of some of the topics that made the local news in 2012.

When St Augustine Alligator Farm goes to City Hall in January, they are hoping to avoid the drama experienced by the proposed 7-Eleven on San Marco Avenue, when the popular Anastasia Boulevard attraction asks for construction permits to develop about 11 acres of adjacent property.
