Hispanic specialty license plate created
Historic City News reporters learned today that while in Orlando, Governor Charlie Crist ceremonially signed House Bill 971, creating a Hispanic specialty license plate as well as the establishment of a Hispanic Achievers Grant Council.

Keepers of the Coast, a local non-profit dedicated to promoting coastal stewardship and the conservation of coastal habitat, has asked Historic City News to recruit our readers as volunteers for the 2nd annual “Morning After” beach cleanup.
Kim DeLaney, who is Growth Management Coordinator for the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, told Historic City News reporters that the Amtrak-FEC Coalition has been working overtime to get the wrinkles worked out of their plan to restore passenger service on Florida East Coast Railway tracks that haven’t been used for that purpose in well over 40 years.
With theatrical smoke so thick you could cut it with a knife, local Historic City News reporter and editor Michael Gold was on hand to witness first-hand the training exercises for St. Augustine and St. Johns County firefighters being conducted at the campus of the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.
Historic City News Editor Michael Gold was on hand last week when the Republican Club of Greater St. Augustine hosted the three announced Republican candidates for St. Johns County Commission, District 4, when each was given an opportunity to introduce themselves and answer questions from the Executive Board.
Don Radbill told local Historic City News business reporters that he is celebrating the Grand Opening of his second Virtual Office building on June 30th, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at 100 Island Cottage Way.
