Dear Election Day voters:
Early voting in person and by mail in this election has been record breaking. Combined voter turnout for St Johns County was at 56% at the close of early voting. I expect this will be the best election turnout we have seen in a number of years. My projection is 84% voter turnout for the General Election.
The City of St. Augustine reported to Historic City News that they will offer a free Park and Ride Shuttle, to coincide with the busiest weekends during the Nights of Lights.
Historic City News received word this morning that the local newspaper, The St Augustine Record, “recommends returning Mayor Nancy Shaver to the City Hall,” primarily because Shaver “tried to make good on the issues she identified in our editorial meeting two years ago”.
