Letter: Meals are meant to feed the hungry

If one can believe the May 7th article in the St Augustine Record, the nightly feedings of the hungry on Bridge Street are being suspended for a week and the St Augustine Beach(?) Police will insure that no one congregates in the dirt lot until the meals are resumed.
This evening soon after 5:00 p.m., Historic City News reporters were alerted by the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office in St Augustine that detectives were on the scene of an alleged “road rage” incident that resulted in the shooting of a 30-year-old St. Johns County man.

Historic City News was notified that St Augustine Beach Police Officer Ed Martinez was selected as the top law enforcement officer representing St Johns County last night during CrimeStoppers of Northeast Florida 2016 Annual Awards Honoring Law Enforcement from St Johns, Flagler, and Putnam Counties.
