Man found on lawn at National Monument this morning
St Augustine Police Department Investigations Supervisor, Sergeant Jason Etheredge, reported to Historic City News that the body of a 50-year-old man believed to be homeless was discovered this morning on the fort green at Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.







The City of St Augustine has invited Historic City News readers who are interested in future access to and from the Nelmar Terrace Neighborhood, to attend a public meeting tomorrow; Thursday, April 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene.
The Solomon Calhoun Community Pool, located at 1300 Duval Street, has announced to local Historic City News reporters that St Johns County has reopened the facility after two months of infrastructure improvements.
Wayne King, principal at Valley Ridge Academy (VRA), has been selected by Superintendent Joseph Joyner to be the principal of Sebastian Middle School. His nomination will be presented to the St. Johns County School Board at its May 10 meeting together with other selections throughout the district that were reported to Historic City News.


Historic City News attended a press conference called by the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office and cooperating agencies who participated in a recent 7-day dragnet that identified a dozen men who attempted to lure children they believed were between 10 and 15-years-old to meet them for sex.
