Historic City News reporters watched as the City of St Augustine mayor and commissioners voted during their regular meeting Monday night to sell the 102 Bridge Street property for an $80,000 capital loss, without giving further consideration to a higher all-cash offer.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Johns County Insurance Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Supervisor of Elections Training Room, 4455 Avenue A, # 101, St. Augustine, FL 32095. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss insurance issues and any other business of the committee. It is anticipated that one or more of the St. Johns County Commissioners may attend and participate in the meeting.

Historic City News learned that yesterday, Circuit Judge Dawn D. Nichols, the newest jurist in the Seventh Judicial Circuit, was sworn into office at the Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand by Chief Judge Terence Perkins yesterday; and, she has already started work.
