American Express recognizes Oldest City
Historic City News was informed today that St. Augustine has been named a top 10 Destination by American Express — one of only two American destinations selected, according to Jay Humphreys, Communications Director for the Visitors and Convention Bureau.

All library branches closed Saturday morning
The St. Johns County Public Library System has announced to Historic City News that it will be closed from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 13th.
Junkanoo Festival postponed
Sacha Martin, Coordinator of the Junkanoo Scholarship Fund Inc., reported to Historic City News that the Junkanoo Festival originally planned for September 20th has been postponed.

Sargent Mulligan deployed to capitol
