Inmate dead within two hours of booking

Historic City News has learned that within 2 hours of being booked in the St. Johns County Jail, an inmate has apparently committed suicide while still in custody.

$81,900 more to build skate park wall

The St. Augustine City Commission in its regular meeting last night made the decision to appropriate up to $81,900 to the lowest responsible bidder to construct a sound attenuating wall at the Hamilton Upchurch skateboard park.

Sacha Martin reported to Historic City News that two Vilano Town Center businesses, Pawnee’s Café and Haley’s Pub, will be competing on Sunday, November 1st, to see who can make the best scarecrow.
