Historic City News local St. Augustine news desk has learned that the popular downtown St. Augustine bar and restaurant, Scarlett O’Hara’s, has acquired an adjoining building and has plans to expand.
In a statement received by the St. Johns County local news desk at Historic City News, Governor Crist said “The Back to School Sales Tax Holiday is a great way to stimulate the economy and help Florida families save on clothing, books and school supplies.”

Public Safety Advocate Sarrah Troncoso with the Florida Association of Counties reported to the St. Johns County local news desk at Historic City News that while counties are making cutbacks at every level, the Florida legislature may have some help for county sheriff’s — including David Shoar.
December 6, 2009 Alan Kelso announced to Historic City News that he was making his first run at a political office by registering his bid for the District 2 seat on the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners — as of December 31st he had changed his mind.
