450th Anniversary workshop Monday
The City Commission will convene a public workshop with city staff at 3:00 p.m. Monday on the heels of a meeting earlier this week, where, Historic City News local reporters learned, the troubled First America Foundation, Inc. officially terminated its contract to provide planning and coordination for the 450th Commemoration, as well as three other signature events.
Road repairs and maintenance planned
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning tomorrow morning and continuing through July 1st.
Sheriff wants to interview suspicious driver
St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar is asking Historic City News readers for their help in identifying a man who attempted to pick up a thirteen year-old boy as he was riding his bicycle eastbound on Maplewood Drive late Wednesday morning.
