Beach to hire new police chief this week
Historic City News received word that our readers are invited to attend a “meet and greet” with the six top applicants for the position of Chief of Police at 7:00 p.m. tonight; ending a search and outside evaluation of potential replacements for former chief Richard Hedges after his retirement earlier this year.



Community Affairs Corporal Catherine Payne informed Historic City News reporters in St Augustine that the investigation into the murder of a black man in a homeless camp at the north county line near Target has resulted in the questioning of persons of interest in the crime.
