Mustang crashes through meters – restaurant still has no gas
Customers of Leroy’s Café, located at 2555 US-1 South, were still not being served their usual lunch of hamburgers and French fries today, as workers are still attempting to restore natural gas to the restaurant and other businesses near the intersection of Lewis Point Road.

Driver entrapped in mini-van crash with semi-trailer
For over two hours this morning, Historic City News reporters learned that the northbound lanes of US-1 were closed down due to a serious crash, north of Palencia near Las Calinas Boulevard. Traffic was returned to normal by lunchtime.

US Navy PRIDE kicks off Music in the Gazebo
The US Navy’s Southeast Contemporary Entertainment Ensemble “Pride” kicks-off four consecutive days of “Music in the Gazebo” in the middle of Romanza Festivale, Chairman Albert Syeles reported to Historic City News today.

Its been a long time since Americans have embraced a $1 coin, I predict the new George Washington dollar coin will fare no better than Susan B. Anthony. I haven’t really liked a silver dollar since they stopped making them out of silver.
