Letter: What price freedom?
The family of local attorney, George McClure, provided an update to Historic City News on his condition since returning home from his most recent hospitalization.
Plum Art Gallery, located at 9 Aviles Street in St Augustine, announced to Historic City News that they will celebrate their Third Anniversary today with live music and artistic displays from four “printers” and four “wearable art” artists.
Throughout the month of July, Butterfield Garage Art Gallery announced to Historic City News that their featured artist will be lifelong photographer, Tom Tibbits.
Historic City News has been following, with interest, the fallout from last week’s US Supreme Court decision that overturned a Florida Supreme Court ruling against an Orange County permit applicant who claimed that the water management district’s requirements were an “unconstitutional taking” of his land.
Historic City News readers will be able to participate in a public hearing Monday evening where the St Augustine City Commission will decide the fate of buskers and street performers on Hypolita Street; already prohibited between St George and Cordova Streets, now proposed to be prohibited between St George and Avenida Menendez, as well.
