The St Augustine City Commission will take time at the beginning of its next meeting to present St Augustine’s highest and most prestigious award, the Order of la Florida, to H. L. “Herbie” Wiles in recognition of his years of service to the community.
Saint Augustine Tea Party Chairman, Lance Thate, announced to Historic City News this morning, that, at their next regular meeting on April 23 at 6:30 p.m., a special commemorative presentation will be made of the events of 1775 that led up to the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War in 1776.
