10 Days to pay property tax without penalty

St. Johns County Tax Collector, Dennis W. Hollingsworth, C.F.C., reminds all Historic City News readers that 2013 property taxes are due March 31st and considered delinquent April 1st, when a 3% penalty applies.

Sunshine Week: City of St Augustine adds Internet streaming

After months of pressure and campaigning by Historic City News and our readers that started early last year, the City of St Augustine acted in favor of the voice of the citizens to add Internet streaming of city meetings directly from their website.

Cathedral Basilica to bless special Papal Bell

In 1976, when the Cathedral of Saint Augustine was elevated as a minor basilica, the two special interior appointments that symbolize the church’s new status were not purchased for display.
