Historic City News was informed that 85-year-old Reubin O’Donovan Askew, 37th Governor of Florida and a pivotal figure in Florida politics, died today; he was admitted to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare on Saturday with aspiration pneumonia and had suffered a stroke.

Teenagers safe after early morning crash

Two St Johns County teenagers left the scene of an early morning crash near International Golf Parkway at World Commerce Parkway, according to a report received by Historic City News. The vehicle sustained about $9,000 in damage; Trooper Dennis Shorter reported only minor injuries to the passenger.
