Motorcyclist dies in two-vehicle crash at beach

Historic City News has learned of a fatal motorcycle crash this evening in the 3900 block of SR-A1A. The motorcyclist died at the scene on impact, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue.

The Seaside Wildlife Garden received an official welcome to St Augustine Beach yesterday when master gardeners from the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences dedicated the volunteer community project, located at the Beach Cultural Center.

Deputies shoot and kill man at domestic disturbance

Deputies responding to a domestic violence call reported to Historic City News that one man has been shot and killed at the scene. Major Crimes Unit detectives and investigators from the Office of the State Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit were still attempting to determine details about the officer-involved shooting.

Monday is busiest day of the year at post office

St Augustine Postmaster, Kenneth M Goodleaf, informed local Historic City News reporters that Monday marks the busiest mailing day of the year for the Postal Service, with more than 640 million cards, letters, and packages, expected to be processed.

Chris Stone and Kim McNickle accepted a one thousand dollar donation for the St Johns County School District “Aid and Support for Students in Sudden Transition” program; according to a report received by Historic City News last week.
