Assistant Chief of Police, Anthony Cuthbert, reported to Historic City News this morning that officers were able to make an arrest yesterday evening in a capital sexual battery case that was first reported to the department on September 20, 2017.

Driver killed in single-car crash on CR-13A

Historic City News received confirmation from Sergeant Kenneth Mark Boatright Jr. of the Florida Highway Patrol, that a single-vehicle crash on CR-13A, has left the driver of the vehicle dead and investigators still looking for answers.

Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Debbie Delgado, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.

Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.

Four-time convicted felon found with stolen firearm

A firearm, stolen from the vehicle of James Black in Flagler County, was identified by matching serial number and recovered Thursday evening from the home of a co-worker at 7 Universe Ct in Palm Coast. The weapon has been located and returned to its rightful owner after sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at that location.
