Jo-Lee Manning, executive director of the Justice Coalition of Northeast Florida, joined hundreds of victims of previous crimes today during the third annual Survivors Speak rally in Tallahassee.  Their goal is to push for legislation that could prevent offenders from hurting more people.

A new member of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Explorers program, 16-year-old Kaitlyn Gennaro, was arrested this morning at her home in Palm Coast after an alert parent discovered text messages she sent to a classmate threatening to conduct a mass shooting — a felony under Florida Statute § 836.10.

Hastings woman sent to the hospital after life-threatening dog attack

Yesterday, Historic City News was informed of an attack on a Hastings woman’s life by two Rottweiler dogs who belong to a neighbor.  Inclement weather prohibited emergency medical personnel from evacuating the victim by air ambulance, forcing them to resort to ground transportation by St Johns Fire Rescue.
