Digging up the oldest church in the nation
Raphael Cosme reported to Historic City News that Archaeologist Kathleen Deagan and her team are excavating a section of grounds at the Mission of Nombre De Dios that could be the exact location where the oldest church in the nation once stood.






Events Chairman Cindy Dicorrado announced to Historic City News that the Saint Augustine Tea Party would not convene their regularly scheduled general meeting at the Village Inn on December 20, 2011.


Asking only for reimbursement of necessary expenses, Saltwater Property Group broker Irene Arriola will enter into an exclusive listing agreement with the City of St Augustine to find a buyer for the 102 Bridge Street market that was purchased by the City in November 2010.





In a televised report that was broadcast on First Coast News today, a report from USC Annenberg’s Center for the Digital Future predicts that most print newspapers will be gone in five years — but the editor of Florida Times-Union makes a different prediction.
