Governor Rick Scott kept a campaign promise yesterday when he signed into law a measure requiring drug tests for those receiving welfare, according to an announcement received by Historic City News.

Traffic Safety Team at beach pier today
Community Traffic Safety Program Manager Andrea Atran informed Historic City News that this morning, beginning at 10:00 a.m., the St. Johns Traffic Safety Team will be greeting visitors to the Farmer’s Market, next to the St. Augustine Beach Pier.

Sheriff’s spokesman Kevin Kelshaw told Historic City News local crime patrol reporters that we should have more answers today in the shooting death of a Fruit Cove area woman that occurred early Tuesday morning.
