Historic City News has learned that Brian Thompson, adviser to Flagler College’s student newspaper, The Gargoyle, has won the 2009 Ken Nordin Award in research from College Media Advisors, an organization of student media professionals.

Priscilla Proctor, Coordinator of College and Public Relations, reported to Historic City News that Robert Levine, former manager to Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles, will lead off the 2009 Flagler College Fall Community Lecture Series.
Sgt. Chuck Mulligan reported to Historic City News that along with St. Johns County Marine Rescue, the Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of the 1100 block of Ponte Vedra Boulevard, regarding an apparent drowning incident around 4:00 p.m. yesterday.
