Arrest on police impersonation charges

Wednesday night, a 21-year old St. Johns County man was arrested on charges of impersonating a police officer, carrying a concealed firearm and use of a firearm while committing a felony according to records from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office that were supplied to Historic City News by Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw.

Marker to celebrate Sanksville cemetery

The St. Johns County Historic Resources Review Board has announced their plans to Historic City News for a special ceremony on Friday, June 27, to celebrate the unveiling of a new state historical marker at Sanksville Cemetery in the Bakersville area.
