Early morning fire extinguished

Jeremy Robshaw reported to Historic City news this morning that St. Johns County Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in the 600 block of Intercoastal Circle at approximately 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The Board of County Commissioners has proclaimed April as Sea Turtle Awareness Month according to a report received by Historic City News from Habitat Conservation Coordinator Tara Dodson.

West King Street section closed for repairs

Project Manager Nick Perpich in the St. Johns County Engineering Division reported to Historic City News that beginning today and lasting for approximately the next four months, the westbound lane of West King Street will be closed between US 1 and Palmer Street/Pellicer Lane.

While still dark and with water intruding into the hole, deputies responded to Ponte Vedra Beach this morning to investigate a possible World War II generation military ordinance discovered in the sand.
