Heather Neville, Director of the Velo Fest Community Initiative is asking Historic City News readers in St Augustine to be “gentlemen of the road” as they present their plan to provide dynamic “people-powered” transportation solutions for those attending the Mumford and Sons concert event, September 13th and 14th.

In order to accommodate the new CR-210 overpass being built over US-1 in northern St Johns County, a section of Old Dixie Highway was permanently closed yesterday and a new segment of Cross Ridge Drive was opened, according to an update received by Historic City News.

Lieutenant Jeremy Robshaw announced to Historic City News that as of Tuesday, September 3, St Johns County Fire Rescue will be decreasing lifeguard staffing levels on all St Johns County beaches.

Historic City News readers are aware that the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover, featuring Mumford and Sons, will necessitate traffic restrictions in the downtown area that includes street closures and limited access areas.

The City of St Augustine has released an updated map to Historic City News of the shuttle service stops to be provided during the Mumford and Sons Gentlemen of the Road stopover on September 13th and 14th in St Augustine.
