Gentlemen of the Road Stopover details will be provided to Historic City News readers next week when the City of St Augustine holds an “open house” meeting at the Casa Monica Hotel; for area residents and merchants with concerns and unanswered questions about the upcoming concert event featuring Mumford and Sons.

Historic City News learned that, during shift change yesterday morning, St Johns County firefighters at the Sampson fire station had the opportunity to use their skills as lifesavers to protect a scared fawn that was in jeopardy of being struck by a vehicle as it lay alongside CR-210.

Flagler College Art Professor, Catherine McFarland, announced to Historic City News that the fall 2013 Community Lecture Series will kick off with an examination of the art inherent in the Hotel Ponce de Leon on September 17.
