Council on Aging Coasters strike again
Council on Aging Program Assistant, Janet Minner, reported to Historic City News that all three St Johns County Council on Aging senior centers have entered the “National Senior Wii Bowling Tournament”.

Multi-modal transportation center meeting
Marci Larson reported to Historic City News that the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization has scheduled a public meeting on Thursday, August 29, in the Alcazar Room of City Hall located at 75 King Street, to review location options and preferences for a multimodal transportation center in the St Augustine area.

Supreme Court decides in favor of Wendler
In the Wendler vs City of St Augustine legal case, the Supreme Court of the State of Florida has declined “to accept jurisdiction” and denied the appeal of the City of St Augustine in its attempt to have the case dismissed.

Benefit for local lifeguard diagnosed with Leukemia
St Augustine Lifesaving Association President, Jeremy Watkins, has asked Historic City News readers to participate in an upcoming yard sale event to benefit 21-year-old Johnny McClure; a member of the US Lifeguard Association, St Augustine Lifesaving Association, Marine Rescue Team, and participant on the St Johns County Lifeguard Competition team.
