Our city commissioners, tourist board and administrators seem to be focused on how to bring ever more tourist dollars to downtown businesses at the expense of the city residents.
As part of our 15-year anniversary celebration, we are formalizing new statements of our mission and vision for the future.
These few words guide us in our actions today and provide context for where we want to be tomorrow.

Republicans have just experienced a perfect example of electing politicians to represent us, the people; however, when those officials assume their elected positions, they “Pledge” to represent the “Leadership” of their party, not the people who elected them.

I live at Vilano Beach and continuously have to deal with the traffic getting into St. Augustine, mainly because the intersection at May Street and San Marco Avenue is so poorly designed.

New Year’s is always a time to reflect—and look forward. I’ve never been a fan of New Year’s resolutions that are overly ambitious. They seem destined to fall away in a few weeks, like when an irresistible piece of chocolate cake makes its way into your kitchen, for example.
