Historic City Media interviewed Edward R. Wuellner, AAE, Executive Director of the St. Augustine and St. Johns County Airport Authority this afternoon regarding the upcoming county commission meeting to consider a referendum to abolish the Airport Authority.

Local attorney, business owner and community contributor Anne Marie Gennusa is pleased to announce her candidacy for the position of St. Johns County Judge, Group 1.

Gennusa reports that she has over 15 years of experience in Criminal law; more then any other Judicial Candidate.

Two workshops scheduled for April 28 and April 30, are being held by the SJC Tourist Development Council (TDC) to assist not-for-profit groups in applying for Category II funding support for special events.

Last year, the TDC awarded $508,000 in Category II funding.

A firefighter for the City of St. Augustine for more than 21 years, James (J. C.) Costeira was promoted to the rank of Captain in a ceremony held at the St. Augustine Fire Department on Monday, April 14, 2008.

Costeira, who achieved the rank of lieutenant in July 2000, is shown being pinned for his most recent promotion by his wife, Gay.
