San Sebastian River suffers raw sewerage spill

400-STAUG-SEWER-SPILLA 60,750 gallon sewer spill was reported to Historic City News by the City of St Augustine at approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning. City crews arrived to find a power outage at a sanitary sewer lift station located off Masters Drive at the eastern terminus of Helen Street.

As deputy Thomas Bickhart responded to the call of a witness who had uncovered the gruesome crime Saturday night, he prepared himself for what he was about to see. Local Historic City News reporters were informed that a nearby resident had killed his own dog with a machete because it bit him on the hand.

300-SJSO-FHP-CRASHAround 7:40 a.m. this morning, Historic City News was notified that a St Johns County deputy who was reporting to work and driving a marked patrol car, crashed into a Mazda passenger vehicle on San Jose Boulevard in Mandarin. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the two-car crash.

St Augustine Police reported to Historic City News that a homeless man, who was brutally beaten and robbed in the woods behind Broudy’s Liquors on Ponce de Leon Boulevard last Thursday, February 19th, has been able to identify his assailant — with assistance from two witnesses to the crimes.
