DeSantis says no to our involvement in Syrian civil war
Congressman Ron D. DeSantis announced to Historic City News in St Augustine that he attended yesterday’s hearing on Syria, where he heard testimony from US Secretary of State, John Kerry, US Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey.



The Common Core Standards for public education are supposed to be implemented in Florida next school year, but Historic City News has learned of scores of grass-roots activists who have other plans.

The program provides students with the skills and confidence necessary for inspired leadership.
The office of House member Janet H. Adkins, State Representative from Fernandina Beach, informed Historic City News that tomorrow afternoon, a legislative hearing will be held in Jacksonville to receive testimony concerning laws related to sexual offenders in Florida.

All departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, St. Johns County Administrative offices, branches of the Public Library, and the Pet Center will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of Labor Day. All offices will resume standard business hours on Tuesday, September 3rd.
