The public continues to show support with thumbs up, applause, salutes and, sometimes, all of these ways of showing their approval — including today’s, “We agree”.
Paul Williamson reported to Historic City News that the construction of two brick crosswalks near the intersection of Valencia and Cordova Streets would necessitate the closing of each of those streets for portions of this week.
Florida Department of Transportation spokesperson, Laurie Sanderson, announced to local Historic City News reporters that St Johns County drivers should use extra caution when traveling on US-1 South Wednesday as the department will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving.

This month, I would like to address the topic of fraud against our elderly.
Standing in stark contrast to the rest of the parking lot this morning, Historic City News found the voter entrance to St Johns County Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes’ office was “sign-free”, except for a warning that no firearms, weapons, knives, or any other sharp object is allowed in a polling location.
