As Historic City News reporters checked activity around town yesterday, there was at least one full parking lot in town — EPIC Theatres of St. Augustine was packed from the entrance almost to SR-207, with some early matinee screenings sold-out.
Most of St. Augustine’s stores and restaurants were closed yesterday in celebration of Christmas; traffic was generally light, parking lots were largely empty, only one carriage on the bayfront, shoe-leather was the mode of transportation for most of those out sightseeing.
Historic City News Editor Michael Gold spent the evening with his wife and their grown children enjoying the lights on the city tree and the beautifully decorated gazebo that has been the site of so many memorable Christmas Eves past.
