Diane Quick will address Civic Roundtable
During their regular June meeting, President Anthony Bosco reported to Historic City News that members of the St Johns County Civic Association Roundtable will hear from Diane Quick, Director of Community Relations with Habitat for Humanity of St Johns County when they convene June 11 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM.

Today is the last day of school for two-year-olds through pre-kindergarten students at Trinity Episcopal Learning Center; and, the last of a three-day “Water Day” celebration of summer, Director Tammy Walthall told Historic City News in St Augustine this morning.
A change in requirements adopted by the St Johns County Tourist Development Council for members of the Arts-Culture-Heritage Funding Panel, making ineligible persons serving as officers or directors of not-for-profit organizations who apply for funding, led to the resignation of all but one member of the former Category II funding panel when their terms expired.

Historic City News has learned that although staff reduction plans in Tallahassee are trickling in from various state agencies, eliminating 4,358 positions and reducing the authorized size of the state’s workforce by about 3.6 percent, there are still not as many layoffs as were seen last year.
Harlan Mason, Chairman of the St Johns County Republican Party, announced to Historic City News, and registered Republican voters, that the Republican Party of Florida has selected St Augustine and St Johns County as a 2012 Victory Office.
According to records obtained from Florida’a Division of Elections, Historic City News has learned that all sitting St Johns County circuit judges are unopposed for re-election to their respective group seats.
