Preservationist commissioner advances agenda
After hearing two Planning and Zoning Board appeals, challenging approval of a tree removal at 21-A Casanova Road and approval of a “use-by-exception” for a scooter rental business at 125-A King Street, St Augustine City Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline will sponsor a pitch for increased spending on her preservationist agenda tomorrow night.



Paul Studivant reported to local Historic City News reporters in St Augustine that the St Johns County Pet Holding and Adoption Center enjoyed a successful month for pet adoption in October; with 103 pets placed overall.
October 30 marked the close of a “very positive” sea turtle nesting season according to information provided by county officials to Historic City News in St Augustine this week.
The St Johns County Board of County Commissioners informed Historic City News that all St Johns County Administrative offices, branches of the Public Library, and the Pet Center will be closed Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
