While exploring old areas of storage, Jesse Olbrich reported to Historic City News that the Rangers of Castillo de San Marcos National Monument stumbled upon information relating to St Augustine’s ancient fort and the history of our ancestors who settled here.

Many problems plagued the eighteenth-century Florida governor, but none vexed him more than the economic plight of his settlement. Florida was a poverty-stricken military outpost of the Spanish Empire on the northeastern fringe of New Spain.
An update received by Historic City News this afternoon, concerning the two-car crash that had traffic diverted on SR-16 at Four Mile Road for three hours this morning, has taken a turn for the worse; we have learned that the 24-year-old driver of the 1998 Mazda 4-DR, has not survived her injuries.
Liberty Pines Academy students honor veterans

All through the presentation at Liberty Pines Academy, battle-hardened veterans quietly wiped tears from their eyes and searched pockets frantically for tissues or handkerchiefs as they were overcome with emotion over the ceremony honoring American veterans.
Lanes on SR-16 have finally cleared, according to a 10:00 a.m. update from the Traffic Division of the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office; after a major two-car collision had the highway completely closed down since about 7:00 a.m. today.
